Welcome to Helensville Rugby Club
Helensville Rugby Football Club has an excellent history of producing some of the New Zealand's great rugby players, some of whom who have played for North Harbour teams, Super 15, NZ 7's, and of course the All Blacks. We aim to promote that heritage, remain true to our community, and be family friendly by developing rugby talent and motivating our players, including our junior players - the aspiring "All Blacks", who are joining the club every year.
Junior Rugby
Helensville Rugby has a strong Junior Rugby section, comprising of around 200 players / 13 teams. Children are placed in teams based on age and weight, using the North Harbour Rugby Union Grades Chart
Rugby Registrations are taken in February at the Helensville A&P Show and March at the Club's Open Day. The season runs from April through September with games on Saturday mornings and trainings on Wednesday afternoons.
Age 5-7 years = J7/J8 - Rippa Rugby (non-contact) played on half field
Age 6-9 years = J6/J5 - introductory tackle Rugby played on half field
Age 8-12years = J4-J1 - full tackle rugby played on full field

Senior Rugby

In 2011
Helensville Rugby Club combined with the Kumeu Rugby Club to put forward
the 'Western Pioneers' in the Senior Premier Grade. This was a huge
success for both clubs with some excellent talent in the team.
In 2012 the Western Pioneers look to build on this success.
Helensville Rugby will also have an U19 Team and the iconic Bulls in the Presidents Grade.
